hello

I've had a bit of a busy week. This week is finals week and I am so tired! Last week started working on my research paper( which I had a little more than a month to work on, I know horrible!) so I hardly got any sleep this weekend! I had work all weekend and it was such crappy shifts. All I wanted to do was finish my paper and show it to my professor the following day so I could turn it in error free on Thursday! So today I finished my paper, drove to school and had my professor go over it. Overall a well written paper! I am so happy I got this out of my way so I can get everything else I need to do done.

We finally finished decorating my house! It looks super cute. I love that my Mom still has ornaments that my sister and I made when we were kids. My favorite ornaments would have to be the ones I brought back from my trip to Europe 3 years ago, Especially the one from Paris but I just found out that one broke so now I'm a little upset,haha.

I finished most of my Christmas shopping! I only have my Dad's gift left and he is so hard to shop for. I never know what to get him. I think I'm going to get him a a nice dress shirt for work. He is always having business meetings so I figure he can never have enough dress shirts! I really hope everyone loves their Christmas presents. I pride myself in being a great gift giver. What I hope even more is that Christian likes his present, he's been nothing but great so he deserves a nice present. I spent a lot on Christmas gifts, which I don't care, but now I am broke so I can't afford to buy presents for my friends. I was thinking of baking them some little Christmas goodies! I think I am. :]

Christian is leaving to Florida next Monday to spend the Holidays with his parents. He won't be back till New Years Day, which makes me sad that I won't be spending these days with him but I completely understand. I know how much he misses his family so it also makes me happy that he will be there having a good time with his family! I will miss him a lot, but it is only 11 days so it's not bad at all. The last time he left for the east coast he was gone for a month! So 11 days is really nothing. I will keep myself very busy while he is gone, that is for sure.

I'm so glad school is almost over. I can't believe I have one full semester left and then I transfer out! PCC has been good to me, and I've changed, and gone through so much during my time there but it really is about time to transfer out. I can't wait to start taking courses that I like at CSULA. I get to take my last winter course at PCC and that is only 6 weeks long! Then I'm taking Statistics and a cycling class for spring semester. I am excited for that, and to finally be on my way to getting my BA.

weekend

Friday I worked 2-cl, before that I went tot he gym. I was just too tired so I decided to stay in, I shouldn't be spending money right now. I have to buy Christmas presents!

Saturday was a fun day. Christian came over to my house around 11am and we went to Peach Cafe in Old Town Monrovia to grab brunch. Food was delicious as always! I had the Peach Omelet, which had lots of yummy veggies in it! It came with a fruit bowl and home made corn bread(i lovee corn bread). Christian got the bacon and eggs with toast and breakfast potatoes, looked good as well. Everything there is so fresh, one of my new favorite cafes. After brunch, we headed off to Ikea. I needed a new bookshelf since I lost my little shelves on the inside of my closet when we remodeled my room last month. Found one on sale, so I bought it! Christian built it for me, so awesome, and it looks super cute in my room. We watched a movie at my place for a bit, and then he took off since he had dinner plans with one of his friends. When he left, I got ready for my uncles 30th birthday party! It was lots of fun. There was a taco man, I had some of those, they were so amazingly good! There was a lot of drinks as well but I only had a couple because I was driving. They also bought a pinata for him filled with little alcohol bottles, in bubble wrap, super funny! And he had a band playing! Overall a good time with my family. After the party, I went over to Christians. It has been so cold here in Southern California lately! I love it. So we cuddled all night and watched some movies. Perfect day all in all.

Birthday Boy!

On Sunday I woke up superrrrr late! I didn't even think I was that tired. I got up, cleaned my room and took a shower. I had the day off so my parents wanted to grab some dinner. We ended up at Mako, our favorite sushi place to go! Hands down the best sushi ever. We've been going there for years. I got my usual and had some drinks with my parents. After, we went to the Santa Anita Mall in Arcadia to do some Christmas shopping! I'm so glad that I know what I'm getting Christian. I had no clue as to what to get him until Saturday. It's a secret though. ;]
After the mall we went to Target to get Christmas lights! I can't wait to to decorate my house! We're cutting it short.

today

Woke up a little late today, but I did find my book! I was so relieved. I had already read half of it, so I just finished the rest in a jiff. Then, I got ready for class and drove off to Pasadena. Class went great, got an A on my quiz so I was pretty happy. I had no real plans today, but Christian called me and asked if I wanted to grab dinner and watch Fantastic Mr. Fox. I said yes of course!
So we met up in Alhambra and got sushi and drank hot sake for a bit. Then we walked to the theater.

I really enjoyed the movie! I had a smile on my face from the beginning. So if you haven't seen it yet, go and see it! Typical Wes Anderson movie, obviously I know the movie is based on Roald Dahl's book, but I love Wes Anderson, so awesome movie! I have to get up early to run some errands before work! Working 2-cl again,blah. Hope all is well!

tuesday and wednesday

I went to bed on Monday night a little upset, it just sucks when you feel a little left out sometimes...I woke up in an okay mood Tuesday morning. Then, I got super upset because I felt like it was all a big joke to certain people when I was genuinely upset that I did not get invited somewhere. I know, maybe I was being a little silly but I felt like a text would have been suffice. I'm over it now, I always get over things. After I stopped being upset, I hit the gym. I got home and I felt a little better, decided to skip class because I did not feel like driving all they way to school to be there for just one hour. We go in later on Tuesdays...

Christian and I had a diner/movie date that night but that ended up not happening. He got out of work a little late, so we decided to have a movie night at his house instead and order Thai. It was a perfect night! Watched a couple of post-apocalyptic films, I have to for my Eng Class, and then watched some Alfred Hitchcock Presents. I love how we can just lay in bed and have the best time ever. I think I like those nights the best, the ones where we just stay in and cuddle and talk. He makes me so happy. So that was my Tuesday!

Wednesday turned out to be a longg day. I got up early and worked out, then I prepared my lunch for work and then I headed off to work 2-cl. It has been sooo slow lately, it's not fun. My shift felt like it took forever to end, and I was just so tired for some reason. I've been feeling insanely tired lately and I have no idea why. Anyway, I got home around ten or so, and relaxed for a bit. Now it's a little past midnight and I really should be finishing this book for my Eng class but I can't find it anywhere in my house. I'm a little nervous since I do have a quiz tomorrow. Hopefully I can do a better job of finding it tomorrow morning. I don't have class til 3:15! Good luck to me.

monday

Today was a pretty productive day. I haven't had a whole day off in a while so I got to get some errands done. First, I had breakfast with my friend Tiffany at The Peach Cafe in Old Town Monrovia. The food was super fresh! We both had omelets, and shared and half stack of blueberry pancakes, so amazing! Our meals came with some corn bread, which was delicious as well. After Tiff and I hung out for a bit and then I got to running some errands. Took some clothes to the dry cleaner, went to the drug store and picked up some essentials, and then went home to clean my room and do some laundry. I had a nice day, now I'm just relaxing. I'm a little tired but I want to go to the gym so I'm going to drag myself there in a bit.

my weekend

Overall I had a really good weekend. Friday, as planned, Christian and I went ice skating in Pasadena, but before that we grabbed sushi at a restaurant called Matsuri that I've always wanted to go to. It was good food! After that we headed down the street to ice skate. It was tons of fun! I don't remember the last time I went ice skating but I do remember being a lot better at it when I was younger. Christian skated circles around me since he use to play hockey when he was younger. I felt bad, I held his hand the whole time because I was so scared of falling. He was a good teacher though, very patient. After a couple of laps I got the hang of it! Later we went to his place and cuddled and had chocolate chip pumpkin cookies and lactose free bryers vanilla ice cream. Totally yummy.

Saturday I worked 10-3 again. I was super tired from the night before since I got home kind of late. I got home around 5ish from work since I did some window shopping. I laid on my couch for a bit to relax, instead I ended up taking an insanely long nap, no bueno! Lately I haven't been getting good sleep, but that's another story. After I woke up from my nap, I had a nice little chat with my best friend Jessica. We ended up grabbing some hot chocolate at Starbucks, I missed her so much! She is such a good friend, and we have such a great understanding with each other. We don't see each other that often since we have different schedules but that's okay. We get it. She's one of those friends that are constant, even if we don't see or talk as much with each other. We're getting matching tattoos soon, excited!

Today I woke up super late! I was so upset at myself, but I just can't sleep lately...I did some cleaning then got ready for work. Work was lame, I'm so happy I worked a short shift today. Christian met up with me at Paseo and we had dinner at La Grande Orange Cafe down the street from my job. Dinner was really great! And the place was super cute. Now I'm relaxing a bit before I get ready for bed. I'm going to read a bit, I know that will help me fall asleep. I want to get up super early to go to the gym and clean some more! I have the day off tomorrow, better be productive.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Having some webcam fun with my cousins Ricardo, Jose, and my younger sister Briana. I'm thankful for so many things, especially having the huge, loving family that I have! I'm also thankful for: Having my best friends in my life, meeting my amazing boyfriend Christian, having a job, for being healthy, and for having so much love in my life! This year has been a humbling one, and it hasn't been easy for most, therefore I am so grateful that things have gone so well. Hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving filled with happiness!

Sometimes I feel like I can be so nice...feels like it gets me nowhere sometimes. I try my best though; to make things fun. All the changes that are going to happen within the next year make me super nervous. I think I've been too comfortable and it's about time I start to venture out. I hope I'm making the right decisions. Everyone feels like this at times, right?

Potluck happened tonight and fun was had. I wish I had pictures but I got caught up in the chaos of cooking in a small kitchen.

Hello

I started up a blog again! It is my goal to try and keep this one updated as much as possible.

It's the holiday season and I love it! And because of that I've been in a crazy, baking mood! The most recent thing I baked is the Tiramisu Layer Cake to your right. It was my first time attempting this recipe, and it turned out super yummy! I modified the recipe a bit so I was a little worried at first, but that went away once I got the taste approval of my boyfriend.

Tonight, Christian and I are going to try and attempt to watch Precious in Pasadena. We've been wanting to watch it but each time we try to something comes up! We either get caught up at dinner, or we go the opening night of New Moon...who knew you couldn't watch something other than New Moon that night?! So we'll see how that goes. Tomorrow, my friends and Christian are coming over for a Pre-Thanksgiving potluck. Should be fun! Lots of food and wine!

And then Thursday is Thanksgiving! I'm super excited to eat amazing food, and spend time with my family. I get to make my famous pumpkin bread and green bean casserole. Yumm. I have to work on Black Friday, but it's not too bad! Working 10-3, I got super lucky. Later that day Christian and I are going ice skating, I can't wait!

I'm sooo sore from working out, I love it. Have to work on some hw before class!
